I tried to install the latest Update - "Intel network
software update released on February 10 2004", however, I
did not think the upgrade installed because it came back
to the page like the connection was terminated ("This
page cannot be displayed"). I checked in my program
files under the Windows Updates, and there is one folder
shown as V4, and two as .XML files - one as "drivers" and
one as "item".

Is the the correct location for these items to be placed
in my computer, and can I assume that they have been
installed correctly?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Deborah,

Sincse this update is for your network card the page not found message
could be normal. If you have a highspeed internet connection through your
network card then when the update was downloaded and installed you may have
lost network connectivity for a moment. That is why the page not found
would appear. Windows Update couldn't display the last page to tell you the
installation was successful. If you want to know if the update has been
installed or not simply run windows update again. If it was not installed
successfully then you will see it listed under available updates.

"It's not a solution until IT works for you!"
