Latest Automatic Upgrade Causes Problems...

Around Sept. 7, I allowed an automatic upgrade to be
installed on my system. The next time I started my
computer, I was not able to shut down without using the
manual switch. Specifically, clicking on the Shut Down
icon caused the machine to restart. Clicking the Restart
icon also caused restart, as it always had. This is very
annoying. A basic function has been removed from Windows.

That is not all. Now, my mouse settings go away every time
I restart or shut down. I am a leftie, so have to
reconfigure the mouse each time I turn on the system.

One more thing: Hibernation seems to no longer be
possible. Yet I know my machine has hibernated in the past.

Am I the only victim?
