I can remember that windows 95 could automatically open programs that were
opened before (last time Windows 95 was used and could save all the settings
till the end of session), once windows 95 started again, those programs were
automatically opened.... Is there a similar functionality in WinXP or Vista?
Thx

Nope. Win95 opened the window/s that had been opened at shutdown,
however, Win95 did *not* remember any running programs.

As for the folders: Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > Restore previous
folder windows at logon.

Should read: Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Restore previous
folder windows at logon.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a go!
