Laserwriter pro -- page count stored where?

Is the page count stored on the logic board? or somewhere on engine?
I have a Laserwriter 600 Pro, and I'd like to swap the I/O board with
a LW Pro 630, giving Ethernet to my low-use, ~6000 page-count printer.
WIll this cause my printer to have the 630's page count?
