Larger Fonts

I have just upgraded my monitor to a 19" flat screen which is set at the
resolution of 1280X1024 for best quality.

I find the text and icons a bit small at this resolution. I have changed
the font size in IE which has helped on some web sites, but not all, and I
have changed to larger fonts on OE which has helped on the message text but
has not changed the message listings.

How do I get the menu bars, icons and text in all programmes slightly larger
without lowering the resolution?

Right click the desktop, Properties, Appearance tab, Fonts Size.

Right click the desktop, Properties, Appearance tab, Fonts Size.

In addition to Ron's suggestion you could also try clear type fonts. Rt
click Desktop/Properties/Appearance and select Effects. Then under "Use the
following......screen fonts" select Clear Type and tick it.

It took me a few days to get used to the smaller size
when I upgraded to 19" monitor. I'm used to it now
and love it--especially with ClearType enabled.

Another tweak I found helpful--Display Properties, Advanced button, set the
DPI to large.

Right click the desktop, Properties, Appearance tab. Choose Icon in the
Item drop-down box and increase the font size.
