When I try to send files of about 10mb, I get the error message Error
Number: 0x800CCC19

I never used to have any problem using XP

Would I be better off with a different email program?

Or do I need to configure Windows Mail in some way?

ANY help would be very welcome....

Thanks

Jeff

Do not have any 3rd party mail scanning in operation, Norton and McAfee AV
applications have been thought to cause such time out errors. Advice is to
remove such applications completely and install Avast or AVG free
applications, and do a custom install disabling the email scanning parts.

The problem could be caused by a policy in place on your ISP server, which
sets limits on the size of mail that it will accept?
You can set WM to break apart large messages on your accounts
properties>advanced tab.
Then your recipient would need to use the Combine and Decode feature on the
broken up message.
