Large size PowerPoint Files

Alan

If I create a file and then duplicate it, the new file becomes larger.
I have some files so large they take forever to open and then not all the
graphics load properly.
I tried the Post example for slow power point and had same result, see
below...

I have been having problems with PowerPoint 2007 being very slow. It takes
forever to jump from slide to slide, and it is next to impossible to edit
text. I have already tried the solution below:
Rightclick the Windows desktop and choose Personalize.
Click "Display Settings".
In the Display Settings dialog box, click "Advanced Settings..."
On the resulting dialog box, click the "Troubleshoot" tab.
Click "Change Settings"
You'll probably see a User Account Control message box asking for permission
to continue. Click "Continue"
On the resulting Display Adapter Troubleshooter dialog box, move the slider
one notch to the left.
Click OK as many times as needed/close any windows that opened along the
way, and return to the Windows desktop.

However when I go to troubleshoot tab, there is a message saying "Your
current display driver does not allow changes to be made to hardware
acceleration settings"
What should I do?

HI,

There are some tips to reduce the file size of PowerPoint, please go
to:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA011168821033.aspx

Also, you could reduce up to 90% file size of your presentation if
you
convert your presentation to Flash using PPT2Flash.(http://
www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash-pro.html#110)

What Steve said....

I'm guessing you have some really big graphics/photos inside your powerpoint
presentation.
