Large paper size - print to multiple 8.5 x 11 pages

If I am trying to create something on a 24" x 36" paper
but I want to print it out first to see how the text
looks, can I tell what ever program (Powerpoint,
Publisher, etc.) to print it broken up on multiple pages?

Thanks!

Jason,

Powerpoint does not have the ability to print up broken pages for joining up
later.

If the presentation contains powerpoint text (and not a bitmap/scan)...then
it will print as good as the poster printer can print. So..it will be good
quality.

You may want to try a graphics program, like Publisher or Quark Both of
these programs allow the user to tile a print-out (using multiple letter
sized pages that can be taped together to form a big poster).

It's less common, but I've also heard that some printers have this function,
also. Alas, PowerPoint is just a presentation software that will create
shows to die for; advertising posters are probably done better on other
applications.
