Large attachment has clogged my outgoing mail. How do I delete?

It won't let me delete it for two days.
It keeps saying it is transmitting the message and can't be deleted.
I have 3 other out going messages that have not been sent due to this problem.

This seems to be the topic of the week (three or four other people have
asked the same question in the last 4 days).

You can try:

- Putting Outlook in Offline mode (File -> Work Offline) and then restarting
Outlook

or

- Just don't be connected to the internet when you launch Outlook.

Thanks for re-addressing this issue . i posted the dsame few days ago. you
can take outlook in the offline mode. Start -RUN - Outlook /safe outlook will
open in safe mode then deleted the message. later restart outlook as normal.

my problem is not carrying out this operation but the key is to find out
what is causing this to happen. No one has an answer. it is usually caused by
the server timing out. but agin why. other users are perfectly fine. so i dug
into the antivirus solutions which i think is a problem.... mcafeeeeee big
pain

Safe mode does not put Outlook offline, as far as I can tell.
