Larg pst file

Hi

I am having some issue with pst. on of our user migrated form lotus notes
email, the user had a large archive in his notes mail, and I convert that to
pst, and its more than a 1gb, when I try to bring this pst to the users
personal folders, not able to open the file. I wonder is there a way I can
split this PST to couple of PST files, if so how can I do this. I really
appreciate some help.

1 GB is not a size that even an older version of Outlook can't handle. How
are you trying to make Outlook see it? If you're using Exchange, you have to
define the PST prior to use. Add it to the profile. If you're just trying to
open the PST, then after opening Outlook use File > Open.

I don't understand the sentence "when I try to bring this pst to the
users personal folders"; you didn't try to use 'Import' from this PST
file? Just open it with Outlook (File | Open | Outlook data file).
