Laptop with domain cannot configure for home workgroup

Ibm T30 Laptop is used at work and at home.
It's currently configured for the WORK_DOMAIN. I also want
to (when I take it home) connect to my Home workgoup.

The second I try to do this it stops with:
"Computer already belongs to a domain" and will not let me
configure for my home workgroup.

I thought XP Pro took care of these problems.
Is there a fix for this???
