Does it happen other times too or just during a Mcafee scan? If it
happens other times as well suggests a hardware problem. Send it in for
service.

It's likely a combination of Hibernate settings.
I have an old HP laptop that would go into hibernate, and even shutdown if
the BIOS settings and windows settings were not set up correctly. (Win ME)

it does it when playing games too, it did it a lot when i played The Sims

Could be overheating, or a problem with ram or other hardware failure.
