laptop rbots when access dos

HI

I am having a problem with my lap top. whine working on my laptop, if I
click start run and type "cmd" to get to the dos, my lap top restart, without
any warning or error message. Any one know what is the problem, and how can
I resolve it.

Hi Brian

I checked under system, "Automatically restart". is not checked. only the
"Write an event to the system log" is checked.
