Hello i think my laptop battery is on the way out.

On my dell laptop 1300 inspiron the battery light keeps flashing all the time.



What the life span of a battery?

Could i speak to dell about this and get a free one.

Had the laptop now for 1 year and 7 months.

How long was your warranty? Best bet is to ring them or use the online form and explain the problem to Dell direct.

Batteries are classed as "consumables" and therefore only usually have a six month warranty. Definately worth checking though.

3 year warranty on it.



Just check it before in the bios and it,s showing as 0% even with the powerpack.

Think the battery dead and will not charge up.

Powerpack works fine but laptop battery cost alot.

Like Techy says - although you have a 3 year warranty, the battery will only be around 6 months I suspect
