I have several Windows XP laptops in a lab set up on a
wireless network. Everytime they go into hibernate mode
the wireless NIC is disabled. I would like to disable
the hibernate mode, but I have been told that with
previous versions of Windows, if the laptops go from
standby to shutdown instead of hibernate, any open files
will not be saved or closed correctly, leading to data
loss and hard drive corruption. Does Windows XP handle
this better, or is this still a problem?
