Language support problem

I have Windows 2000 on my PC ,also IME which comes along
with it .But I am not able to use Japanese softwares as I
cannot read any of the japanese characters in the
software .
Kindly suggest

Suggest what? What's IME?
Install the English version of the software you want to use
