language issue??

Hi all. Was wondering if anybody knows how to deal with this. My wife
recieved a file from her niece in Brasil. When she tried to open it it error
comes up saying "unable to find installation language" then the file name. It
is error 105 if that means anything. Thanks for any help

A good starting point would be to explain what sort of a
file she received. Was it a Word file? Excel? An executable?
 
Let's do away with the guessing and let's have the exact
name of the file instead, e.g. "Lesson1.exe" or whatever
it may be.
