language failed message

Trying to uninstall AVG anti virus, a window pops up saying cannot init
language file. I'm trying to install new anti virus, but can't get rid of
this one...HELP???
 
Hi

Have you shutdown AVG first before trying to uninstall? If so, you could
try re-installing then uninstalling AVG.
 
It gave me an error message, and said to reinstall, but when I click
reinstall, I get the cannot init language message again.

Is AVG still loading at startup? If so, go into msconfig>startup, disable
it and then reboot. Try the uninstall or re-install/uninstall then.
 
I am having exactly the same problem as you were with uninstalling the avg
antivirus and am not having any luck, have you solved it yet and if so could
you be ever so kind and let me know what i have to do cos it is seriouly
doing my head in, hope to hear from you soon, thanks !!
