Landscape Report Prints Portrait the first time printed

We're using Access 2003 and on any given day any report set to print
landscape prints out portrait ***only for the first time printed***. If we
then print it a second time, without changing anything about the report it
prints landscape (the way it is set to print in page setup). Every time
after that it prints landscape. Why is this happening? How can I get the
report to reliable print landscape the first time it is printed?

Dear Declan:

This is not a typical problem, so I'm going to try some diagnostic ideas on
it.

Do you have any other printers available? If so, does this problem occur
with them? In any case, try replacing the printer driver with the newest
available from the manufacturer. For most manufacturers, this is available
on the web.

Do you have any other computers available? Run the application from another
computer and see if the problem is there.

I'm thinking you have a problem with the printer driver or with the
installation of the system or of Access on this computer. Try to narrow
that down before re-installing.

You're not loading the paper in your printer with the first sheet turned
sideways, are you? Sorry, I couldn't resist that one!

We are having the same problem with our reports. It happens on our network
and on the customer site. We are using the latest version of the printer
driver. Is there any other reason why this would be occurring?
