LAN with Vista and files server

Hi,
I have simple workgroup lan with 15 Vista workstation. I use Adobe Photoshop
and InDesign on workstations and I work with files located on server. My file
server has 6 disk on RAID 5. My question is: what kind of OS i should use for
my files server ( server 2003, xp or linux with samba). Is OS very importent
in this situation.
