LAN Shutdown after hour or so

I am finding that after an hour or so my LAN connection shuts down. I first
noticed this running BitComet, which would lose it's connection and stop
transfers. Once this happens, I check IE and it also cannot see the
internet. A restart of the computer solves the problem temporarily.

Sleep mode is not enabled.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Configuration: Intel 925 motherboard, Linksys Gigabit switch attached to a
Linksys WRT54GX Router, attached to cable modem.

Also, other computers on the network still see the internet, no problems at
all.

Same here with coming out of sleep. Both NICS are disabled and restart solves
the problem.

Yes, i experienced the same problem when using BitComet. So, is there any
solution? my computer's configuration is:

3Com Gigabit Lan
Intel 2.4Gz HT
512Mb Ram
Asus P4B motherboard
