Hi just got a D-Link DI-524 Router and connected it to my LAN that had
a shared internet at home. I am running one PC (say pc-A) connected to
the internet thru a 'ethernet cable' (no modem). this uses a 'dialer',
so i cannot seem to connect the internet ethernet cable directly to the
wireless router. I have a two ethernet cards on this machine, one
connected to the internet and another to a 8-port switch. My other two
PCs (pc-B and pc-C)are hardwired to the switch. I have one laptop
(pc-D) using wireless to connect to the LAN/internet. The DI-524
wireless router is connected to pc-B. I am using iprange 10.0.0.1 on
the router as it conflicts with my internet sharing IP.
I am able to 'see' three PCs, that is, other than the one connected to
the internet. I am just not able to connect pc-A to the LAN. pc-A is
connected to the internet and works just fine, but i'm not able to see
the other PCs on the LAN. I also tried hooking the router to pc-A, but
I just cant see the other computers from this PC. Con someone please
help me ? Thanks in advance...
