LAN has limited or no connectivity

Between last night and this am something happened so my LAN connection now
gives the "limited or no connectivity" message. I have several computers
connected to a Linksys router and a Westell DSL modem. One of the computers
is hard wired to the router with a LAN cable. All of the computers give the
same message. I connected the LAN wired computer directly to the DSL modem
and I get the same message. I tried resetting the ip address and the winsock
with no success. I tried assigning an ip address but although the warning
disappears and I am told the connection is made, I cannot surf the web. I can
get around the problem by creating a new network connection (broadband,
manually connected with user name and password) and I can surf the web but
the original icon still has the limited connectivity notice. Doing it this
way I cannot use the router. I need help.

TRY RESETTING YOUR ROUTER AND MODEM BY UNPLUGGING THEM .LET YOU ROUTER
REASSIGN THE IP ADDRESSES.

Do all of the computers give the "limited or no connectivity" message
when wired to the router? If so, something's wrong with the router.
Either it has a hardware problem, or its built-in DHCP server isn't
giving out IP addresses.

Unplug the router power, wait a minute, and plug it back in. Check
the lights that show connections to the computers. Check the DHCP
server settings.
