LAN and dialup issue

I have a laptop which connects via a LAN at home. I also have a dialup
connection installed for when I am away.
Recently, when it is unplugged from the LAN, a connect dialup window
keeps appearing randomly. It didn't used to do that.
I changed the checkbox to NEVER dial a connection, but it keeps
changing back to "dial when a network connection is not available" and
the window opens.

what do I need to do??????????

Try going into 'connect to' from the start menu and select 'all
connections'. Right click on the dialup icon and choose disconnect. You
can reverse this process when you need to use the dilup connection again.
