Label lines on document don't show

In word, under tools, labels, and new document, when I open a new document there are no label lines showing. I can insert lines that will print under tools and options, but I cannot get the lines back in my labels as a template.

When Word creates a new document of labels, it creates a table with x-number
of rows and columns based on the label type you selected. If you can't see
the "gridlines" between your cells, click the "Table" menu, select "Show
Gridlines". If you can see the gridlines, but for some reason want actual
borders around your labels (not a good idea by the way), select your table,
open the "Tables and Borders" toolbar, click the "Borders" dropdown arrow
and select the "All Borders" icon.
