Purchased New 4/09 from the local Apple store for my new MacBook.
During formatting a message appears "An Unknown error has occurred"
Returned to Apple Store for a no problem exchange.
Everything went OK for ~5 months.
Drive failed. Power light just flickered
They sent a new power supply to me.
Didn't work
Sent back the drive.
Received a scratched up "tested" drive with masking tape on the heads
of the case screws.
Plug it in

I asked for my money back. By now I have spent $10.00 more than I paid
for it in shipping costs.
So far I have been unsuccessful. I really did not want to try #4. I
have no faith in the new product or the "tested" products.
