L2TP error using XP SP1

Hi,
I'm trying to connect via VPN over XP SP1. If I first establish a dial-up
PPP connection to my ISP, I'm able to connect via VPN. However, if I try to
connect to an ISP via cable, I get the Error 791. Is this due to NATting ?

I looked up the KB and found the hotfix 818043. I installed the patch,
even though it mentioned that it is for Win XP SP1 (& not for Professional
SP1). it didn't help.

Are there any other settings I should look out for to make VPN possible
over non-dialup connections ?
