L2TP stop working after installing SP2 RC2

Hi
im using the L2TP patch to connect to our corporate VPN server, it was all
working fine with SP1 and the patch L2TP/IPSec NAT-T update for Windows XP
( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;818043 )
after installing RC2 it simply stop working, and of course you can't reapply
the patch, since it's coming with an error
that SP1 is required!

please Advice.
