can i move the location of the public folder from c:\user\public to another
partition, i.e D:\ ??

Can anyone envisage any problems in doing this?

I have tried to share "D:" on my Vista machine but I cannot access it from
my XP machine although I can see it. I can access the public folder but not
the shared "D:"
The easiest thing is to probably put all the files I want to share into the
public folder but I don't want all these files on C: so I am proposing to
move the location of the public folder.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

yes, I have the same situation. Only can access public folder but shared
drivers.
File sharing is on and give authority to Anyone in shared diver option.
Can anyone help?
