Kingston HyperX

Hi.

I have the Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe with an AMD Athlon XP 2400+. I consider
buying the "Kingston HyperX" memory modules (the ones with the blue heat
spreader).

Exact name is "DIMM 512 MB (DDR333, KHX2700/512)".

My problem is: I would like to take two of those but rumour has it, that
these memory modules won't work on many boards (in case you have two
modules).

I looked at the list on Asus' website, but this is only for DDR400. So my
question is: Does anyone have a combination like that running stable?

And: i consider the DDR333 (i know my XP2400+ is only 266) because I think
of getting a CPU Upgrade. Would it be better, to buy the DDR400 in the first
place?

Thanks
Martin

I have the a7n8x-x board.
I tried the Kingston HyperX pc 4000 ram and did not like it too much.
Would not run at any speed close to 200 mhz fsb
unstable and any speed above 190 fsb

My cpu is the athlon barton xp 2500 333mhz.

So I tried Corsair's xms memory. 512 megs matched pair
http://www.corsairmicro.com/corsair/products/specs/cmx512-4000pro.pdf

Runs great stable and I lucked out running a fsb of 230 mhz.

System specs

a7n8x-x bios rev 1009
Barton xp 2500 333mhz
ati radeon 9600 xt
sb live card
512 megs of ram stated above
fsb of 230 at a vcore of 1.80 volts
nforce latest drivers
ati latest drivers
win xp pro

Hope this helps
