Microsoft never receives any money for pirated, illegal versions
of Windows XP in the first place. Microsoft does have a program
that enables unsuspecting users a way to obtain and install a genuine
version of Windows XP at a greatly reduced price.
M$ receives the bulk of their money through sales to the large OEMS that
sell PC's with Windows installed.
So how is $149 a greatly reduced price !? And is that XP Home or Pro, I've
heard no distinction.
If you consider that a greatly reduced price, then you must be getting
ripped off on that closet full of retail XP CD's you have.
And in the future, if a Windows XP user wishes to upgrade to
the upcoming Windows Vista operating system, that will have
to have a "genuine version" of Windows XP in order to upgrade.
Uh, yeah. So you're saying that none of the groups out there will release
pirated Vista versions ?
But Carey, the question remains...
'Which of the 12 !!! different methods do/don't work ?'
Which ones have YOU tried, examined, or otherwise analyzed ?
