How do I kick off user from access db. User will be unavailable for few days
but I need to update a table in this db and I'm not able to. I need to sign
her off.

Daniel,
I really don't want to download anything unless dowload comes from
microsoft. I was looking for an option withing db that enables me to select
"log off user" or something along those lines.

I'm afraid there's no such capability.

I haven't looked at the two downloads at Roger's site, but I suspect they'd
be similar to what's shown in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/210297. In
other words, they require that your application be set up in a certain way
so that users who aren't doing anything are kicked out. Unfortunately, that
won't help you in this situation, but applying that technique could help you
in the future.

Vernesa,

You're going to pass up on tons of valuable resources if you aren't willing
to take free help when it is available to you. Sites such as:

http://www.cardaconsultants.com/en/msaccess.php
http://www.lebans.com/
http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com
http://www.access.hookom.net/
http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/msaccess/msaccess.html
http://www.mvps.org/access

to name but a few, are time proven reliable resources. Resources that you
will not fined elsewhere!

Even other website are not really an issue as long as you surf with an
anti-virus.

the two access sample dbs that I recommended are exactly what you were
looking for. A cut & paste solution... Can't help you more than that!

I'd recommend implementing a solution like Daniel has recommended.

Best bet would be to have someone with administrator rights log onto the
users computer, then shut the application down.
