Keyboard shortcuts questions

Using keyboard shortcuts can make tedious tasks so much more effortless. I'm presently using a Microsoft keyboard but don't know for
how long. I'm looking for tips on whether to use a 3rd party (non Microsoft) software program for keyboard shortcuts or just
continue to use the stock ones that are available with the MS Keyboard driver. They do offer quite a few options. I'm rarely on
other computers so standardization is not much of an issue. Any suggestions?

I like and suggest Hot Key Plus. Small and free. The make of keyboard
doesn't matter, BTW.
