keyboard shortcuts problem

Certain keyboard shortcuts have stopped working in my Excel 2003.
CTRL+X, CTRL+C, and CTRL+V no longer work. They still work from the
toolbar menu or when right clicking. Other shortcuts like CTRL+A and
CTRL+Z still work. Does anyone have any ideas?
 
Do those shortcut keys work in other applications?

If yes, maybe you have a developer who doesn't want you to cut, copy or paste.

If you close excel, then open a different workbook, do the shortcut keys work?
 
The shortcuts work in other applications. I've tried these shortcuts i
old and new spreadsheets. They've worked in the past

If you start excel in safe mode

close excel
windows start button|run
excel /safe
file|open yourworkbook.xls

Do they work?
