Gave user brand new HP/Compaq PC. Everything was fine for
about a month. Now, she can't hit the same keyboard key
twice in a row. She has to wait 10 - 20 seconds if she
wants to type the same letter twice. Also, every time she
hits a key, a beep sound comes from the PC's internal
speaker. I checked the Repeat Rate in control panel -
keyboard and it is set to Fast. Also checked to see if
there were any updates through the Windows Update program.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Bruce

Bruce:
Go to Control Panel>Accessibility Options and see if any of the Keyboard
options are enabled. If so, uncheck them, click OK, and try the keyboard
again.

Yep, that was it! User had Filter Keys checked off by
accident. Thank you!!
