Assuming you're talking about a notebook computer keyboard-- look at the
owner's manual to see how to raise/free the KG. Blow some compressed air
around the stuck key to see if there's anything jammed in there (toast
crumb, booger, etc.). Try cleaning the contacts with a cotton swab dipped
90% isopropyl alcohol, check for physical damage. Try cleaning with a soft
small brush with long bristles that will go into the crevices. If none of
that works, you'll probably need to pick up a new keyboard. The good news is
they're not very expensive and it's easy to pop a new one in there.
It is a notebook. Its not the key that's stuck down, its the fn is stuck on
so if I press "L" it writes "3", "P" writes "-" etc. If I press the fn key
"L" will be "L" and "P" will be "P". So I have to type with one hand while
depressing the fn key with my left hand and it takes forever. Any
suggestions? Thx

Go to Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager. Click on the plus
sign to the left of KEYBOARD, select all keyboards on the drop down list,
right click and uninstall them.
Reboot the computer which will reinstall the driver and that should fix it.
