Keyboard Problem

I have a HP Pavilion Laptop Computer running Windows XP Home and just bought
a Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard and cant get the number pad on the
right side to work. It has a USB connector. Everything else works great ,
even the arrow keys on the number pad work but when I set the number lock to
on the numeric keys on the pad do nothing. I am not sure this is the group to
post in or not. If not I apologise.

Did you install the software that came with the keyboard?

Yes I did. I had the same problem with a used keyboard I was using but
thought being an old keyboard something was wrong with it and now the same
thing happens with the new keyboard.
