Keyboard Problem

I am using Windows XP. Wrong characters are typed when I use
the keyboard.
The keyboard is a Dell Entry Keyboard (QWERTY)

How do I fix that please.

Try the onscreen keyboard to check if your keyboard is incompatible.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>Accessibility>On-Screen keyboard.
