Keyboard Malfunctioning

Have a laptop with W2K. Keyboard works properly until the Shift+P keys are
hit. Then all **** breaks loose and many of the keys on the keyboard will
not work or will work improperly. I've removed the device drivers and
rebooted. This works in restoring the keyboard function but as soon as the
Shift+P keys are hit again I start this vicious cycle all over again.

HELP! Sounds like a software issue but could this just be a bad keyboard?
