Keyboard langauge changed - not as simple as you think

Hello All,

I 15 year aol daughter's new computer, XP Home, developed a freezing problem
whenever the keyboard was touched. You can use the mouse all day with a
lockup, press anything on the keyboard = frozen.

I discovered this morning the keyboard driver is apparently for a Russian
(?) keyboard langauge. I have tried all I know to change the setting. The
Control Panel -> Language setting show US however the driver shows Russian.
I have deleted, removed, and uninstalled the driver. Detect new hardware
finds the keyboard but ALL the keyboard driver options are Russian - yes
all, several for each manufactor's keyboard each in Russian.

I'm stumped.

HI,

Which make & model of Keyboard is it?
Did you try to manually install the driver, not letting the hardware wiz, do
it for you?

, if you post that, I will hunt down a US driver for you. Otherwise you
might want to goto:

www.driverheaven.com and search for a US driver for that keyboard.
