Keyboard keys to plug in today's date?

Good afternoon!

I can't believe I've never asked this before <g>! Is
there a keystroke combination that we can use that when
pressed will put today's date into a cell? I have a
number of sheets I update each day re correspondence so
finding a quick way to enter the current date would be
fantastic!
