keyboard issues

i cannot type without holding the function key down. otherwise i get numbers
in place of letters. the following is an example of the asdfghjkl;' without
the function key held asdfgh123+' - any answeres out there? Seems only a
problem on the right side of the keyboard.

Laptop, right? Something seems to have turned on the numpad feature in the
typing area of the keyboard. Check out your Fn key settings, etc.. Usually
it's turned on/off with an Fn+a key, whatever it might be.

You are right. I figured it out and even though embarresed I am happy it is
working good again. Thanks for your help.
