Keyboard frozen on Dell Inspiron notebook

The keyboard is frozen. the mouse and touchpads work fine. Any suggestions
to troubleshoot the problem.

Reboot and see what happens.
If still no joy, reboot into Safe Mode and let us know what happens.

Try to Plug a kbd into the ps/2 jack and reboot. If nothing else it
will give you a way to get your data off.

PS/2 devices are not hot-plugable, I'd shut down first.

Does the keyboard work to get into BIOS (F2 as I recall on that Dell model)?
