Keyboard failure after SP2 installed

When I boot my PC, I get a black screen that states keyboard failure. I can
hit the power button off and back on and the PC will boot up just fine. What
do I need to do to make the PC boot properly the first time? This just
started happening after I downloaded and installed XP SP2. Help!
 
Hi,

You should first rule out a failing keyboard by trying another one.
