Keyboard Display Wrong Characters

Hello All
On a few keys only, my keyboard is displaying the wrong characters.
E.g. Instead of the pound symbol(Shift 3), I get the hash symbol.
I did have this problem about 3 years ago, but really cannot remember how I
solved it.
Your help is and always appreciated.

That would be correct if you have set the Regional and Language Options
to US English. Open Control Panel, Regional And Language Options and set
it to UK or wherever you live.

Hello Rick

Go into Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages >
Details button and check/change your keyboard setting to United Kingdom.
