I have a Dell Inspiron 5000E. Thru some unfortunate
combination of unintended keystrokes I have disabled the
keyboard. The mouse still works. Restarting system does
not help. Can you? Thanks

Far as I know, the only way to disable the keyboard is by making
changes in the BIOS... but if you now don't have a keyboard, you can't
even press the key to ACCESS the Bios

You MAY be able to fix this by opening your case and CAREFULLY taking
out the motherboard battery that keeps the Bios memory active... after
awhile for the charge to dissapate (no, I don't know how long) your
Bios should go back to the original, factory condition
