Keyboard changes

A friend has been given a computer with XP to write minutes for a club
I have been helping her get started but find the keyboard has som
things transposed. £ has become # and " has become@.£ can't be foun
and she writes it in. The settings and currency appear ok. Advic
please

Navigate to Control panel - Regional and Language Options.. click on
Languages tab.. click on 'Details' button.. set default language for the
UK..

You are using a UK keyboard with US settings.

To change it, go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Regional and Language
Options. Change it on the Regional Options tab.
