key stroke sequence error

Hi,

when I press [shift][2] it will give ["] instead of [@] ...
any idea ??

Try another keyboard.

Most all of them these days are cheap and
crappy and malfunction in different ways after
a while.
 
You could check your keyboard settings in Control Panel. You could be setup
for the wrong "country". I remember some (older) keyboards used to use
shift-2 for the double quotes (").
