Key for boot menu? A7N8X Deluxe

Hi all,
Is there a key to give me a boot device menu without going into bios and
changing the order? I'm experimenting with Knoppix and would like to be able
to boot to the cd rom on the fly.
Thanks
Gary

Key?

How about setting the CD Rom above your HDD in the boot order and removing
the cd when you don't want to boot from it?

The best you can do otherwise is to have a boot loader on the first bootable
device that can do that for you. I can't think of one right now (well, the
Win2K bootable install disc does it). I've also seen a boot loader for a
floppy disk (one that's not normally bootable) that allows you to press a
key to boot from the hard drive, rather than actually removing it from the
drive and setting a key.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at.

Hi Ben,
My previous MSI board had a hot key (I forget which one:)) which I just
tapped on bootup and it would give me a choice of what device to boot to.
I just saves the step of going into bios and changing the boot order...no
big deal though. I can do it that way.
