keeps restarting

my system keeps restarting itself and I get a blue window but it goes by to
fast so I can't see anything it says. any suggestions to fix this?

Click Start and type "event viewer" in Start/Search and hit Enter. In the
left pane expand Windows Logs. Scan the System log first.

It is generally the case that in Vista you can type the program you want in
the Start/Search box and just hit Enter.

Lew laptop with Vista...Same sort of problem! All of a sudden laptop shuts
off, I resart blue screen comes up for about 1.2 seconds (!!!) and then goes
black. Too fast for me to read it. Called Toshiba...Called Geeks...Left it
with geeks, they had to send it to their "people" still waiting to find out
what's going on. Anyone know if it's soft or hard ware issue?
